Bacon Chicken Pizza with Creamy Garlic Sauce

Bacon Chicken Pizza with Creamy Garlic Sauce
We make pizza often here at KQ, and we're always experimenting with variations on our favorite flavor profiles. This latest example created by KQ partner chef Philip, is topped with very crispy chopped bacon, chopped chicken, diced onion, diced jalapeno and grated cheese. The experimental part of the recipe was using creamy garlic sauce, (instead of a tomato based sauce), made using fresh crushed garlic cloves. The results were very tasty. Three of us ate the whole pizza in one sitting!

WHAT'S FOR DINNER? Meatloaf!
KQ partner Chef Philip made this meatloaf for a recent dinner party. His recipe combines both ground beef and ground pork for a very flavorful meatloaf. This was served along with mashed potatoes and gravy, as well as a green salad.

RECIPE EXPERIMENTS: Pulled Pork Enchiladas

Above: The enchiladas right after coming out of the oven.
RECIPE EXPERIMENTS: Pulled Pork Enchiladas
Chef Philip makes an awesome dry-rubbed pulled pork, and he used some of the meat to create an enchilada dish that wowed us all. Corn tortillas were filled with the pulled pork as well as diced onions and a generous amount of cheese. Next the enchiladas were slathered in a homemade sauce made just for this recipe, and topped with more grated cheese. The kitchen smelled amazing while these baked. And they were gone mighty fast, so hopefully Chef Philip will make a double batch next time. So yes, this #RecipeExperiment was a huge success.

2016 Thanksgiving Dinner Menu

2016 Thanksgiving Dinner Menu
By Mitch Hightower
We have many of our own traditions here at our house in San
Francisco, and one of them is serving a honey-baked ham on this Holiday. No one in our house likes turkey, so why
bother?
Meanwhile, we all love holiday side dishes and this year
we’re serving a must have, roasted carrots with onion and apple, (I made this
earlier today, so tomorrow all I have to do is heat it up).
We’re also having French green beans. And dinner wouldn’t be complete without gold mashed potatoes and gravy. And for the
bread element we’re making biscuits!
For dessert, Chef Philip has already baked classic pumpkin
pie. And as an alternative, we also
have apple cupcakes, filled with apple compote, topped with caramel ganache and
frosted with bourbon buttercream.
It’s going to be a great dinner!

SPINACH SOUP: How I Finally Got My Family to Eat Green Leafy Vegetables

SPINACH SOUP: How I Finally Got My Family to Eat Green Leafy Vegetables
by Chef Mitch
Here at my house everyone likes soup. Meanwhile, it's been hard to incorporate more green leafy vegetables because we are not fans of the "kale" trend. So I made SPINACH SOUP, and my family went wild! I made a double batch, and it still wasn't enough because it was gone in two days. I'll be making more of this recipe for sure.
