RECIPE EXPERIMENT: Baked Sweet Potato Chips

RECIPE EXPERIMENTS: Baked Sweet Potato Chips

KQ host Mitch Hightower has been experimenting with making healthier alternatives to deep-fried potato chips. This recipe for baked sweet potato chips required two hours baking time, and Mitch says, "It was worth it". The chips were very crispy and crunchy, while retaining the sweetness and lovely flavor of the sweet potato. Look for this recipe to show up in an upcoming video soon!

RECIPE EXPERIMENTS: "Upside Down" Onion Potato Cakes

Kitchen Queers host Mitch Hightower has been testing recipes for "Upside Down" onion potato cakes.  He says, 'Think pineapple upside down cake, where the pineapple is replaced with a sweet and savory red onion mixture and the cake has been replaced with crispy and buttery hash brown potatoes".

More recipe tests for this dish are forthcoming, and we expect to see this recipe as a video installment during KQ Season 4 in 2018!
