NEW VIDEO: Jalapeno Margarita

Kitchen Queers host Mitch Hightower gets busy in this episode as he demonstrates all of the steps needed to create the Jalapeno Margarita, including how to make colorful kosher salt. Mixed with sanding sugar, Mitch then shows how to fashion a sparkly salt-sugar rim on the serving glass. Next, Mitch creates an unusual cocktail garnish using a jalapeno pepper segment and a maraschino cherry. The technique of muddling is utilized to infuse the cocktail with plenty of fresh jalapeno flavor, and a double-straining technique is demonstrated which prevents jalapeno seeds from winding up in the finished beverage. KQ partner Chef Philip appears as the guest taste tester for KQ Season 4, Episode 6, Number 66.
