NEW VIDEO: Thick Marinara Sauce
KQ host Mitch Hightower shares his recipe for Thick Marinara Sauce. The sauce is thick because of a long cooking time that reduces the liquid. This flavorful and easy-to-make tomato-based sauce is great served over pasta, as a dip for garlic bread, as a topping for pizza and as a filling for calzone or stromboli. KQ partner Chef Philip serves as the guest taste tester for Season 4, Episode 19, Number 79. (S4E19N79-HD).

RECIPE EXPERIMENTS: Three Bean Vegetarian Chili
KQ host Mitch Hightower experimented with a meatless chili recipe featuring three different beans including pinto, black and white beans. The recipe also included onions, garlic, tomatoes and spices.
KQ partner Chef Philip said, "I like it, but it needs meat".
Mitch said, "I think it tastes okay, but it's very tomato forward and a little too acidic for me".
We'll keep experimenting and we'll keep you posted on the results.

SALSA RECIPE FOR CILANTRO HATERS

SALSA RECIPE FOR CILANTRO HATERS
by Chef Mitch
In our house it's Chef Philip that doesn't like cilantro, he says it tastes like soap. He's not alone. Some online reports indicate that up to a third of the population finds cilantro distasteful, with soap being one of the more pleasant descriptions used by cilantro haters.
Finding a salsa recipe without cilantro is like trying to find a contact lens on shag carpeting. So I created a cilantro free salsa recipe that has plenty of flavor and is great for dipping chips, topping burritos and more.
